EVA TENUTO (Executive Director) studied acting at American Academy of Dramatic Arts and went on to found The Women’s Experimental Theater Group. Based out of New York City, The W.E.T.G.irls wrote, directed and produced original material based on real life experiences for over a decade. They performed at venues in NYC and numerous East Coast Colleges. After receiving a MA in Elementary Education, Eva focused on using self-created theater to increase the self-esteem of teenage girls in a pre-college curriculum at Barnard College.  The impact of the work with the W.E.T. G.irls and the teenagers confirmed the power of taking life experiences and turning them into powerful performances.  Ms. Tenuto has raised thousands of dollars for various women’s organizations directing The Vagina Monologues starring Academy Award winner, Melissa Leo and with productions of TMI.  Of all the projects she has worked on, TMI has been the most powerful and rewarding.  She is honored to be a part of the transformation of so many people’s stories.

Julie Novak (Marketing Director) has been doing improvisational theatre since she could speak. Aside from performing in TMI, Ms. Novak is the official Emcee of the Broads Regional Arm Wrestling League in New York’s Hudson Valley (part of the national Collective of Lady Arm Wrestlers), where her improv skills have helped raise thousands of dollars for women’s causes. She was a core touring member of Arm of the Sea Theatre, an environmental activist puppet theatre troupe and has recorded an album with her band Guitars and Hearts. She is also the co-author (with Jacinta Bunnell) of the feminist coloring book Girls are Not Chicks.
